Susan Barrow

Susan's Background


Susan loves dogs and enjoys working with their people enhancing team skills.

Susan has been showing dogs in AKC events since 2001.  While her passion is agility she competes in hunt tests, obedience, rally, conformation, tracking and other fun dog events.

She has also shown her dogs in USDAA and NADAC agility trials.


She is in her second term as an elected member of the Board of Directors for Vizsla Club of America (2014-2016 & 2016-2018)

She is the elected Vice President of South Coast Vizsla Club and is an active member.

She was the elected President of Las Vegas Dogs in Competitive Events (2014-2016) after serving on the Board of Directors (2012-2014).  See the LVDICE web site for more information about local events.

Susan believes fervently in life long learning and continues to seek education in dog sports and dog training.   Has completed several  agility seminars and online classes with Tracy Sklenar and Daisy Peel; and tracking seminars with Sil Sanders.

She is currently enrolled in online classes at Fenzi Dog Sports Academy.  These include obedience, conformation, dog shoulder rehab and recovery, and other interesting topics.

Susan enjoys teaching agility since starting in October 2007.  She taught at SmartyPaws Canine Coaching for six years.  She taught obedience classes for Vegas Valley Dog Obedience  Club for two years (2004-2006).


Susan finished her Masters Degree at UNLV where she also completed the BS Degree focused on Adult Education, a perfect fit for teaching people to train and work with their dogs.
